It is with heavy hearts that the members of the Lincoln Fire Company, announce the passing of Life Member, Michael "Chops" Carpenter

Chops was in his 48th year of serving with the department. Chops served as firefighter, achieving the rank of Captain. He then transitioned into a Fire Police role, serving as Sergeant up until his untimely passing. Mike was an integral part in restoring and showing the department's antique 1926 Reo. Chops was a great mentor and friend to all members of the department. Mike will be greatly missed. We will take it from here Chops. Funeral arrangements to follow.
