Chops was in his 48th year of serving with the department. Chops served as firefighter, achieving the rank of Captain. He then transitioned into a Fire Police role, serving as Sergeant up until his untimely passing. Mike was an integral part in restoring and showing the department's antique 1926 Reo. Chops was a great mentor and friend to all members of the department. Mike will be greatly missed. We will take it from here Chops. Funeral arrangements to follow.
