Well, folks… Squrt 16 is one step closer to coming home! 🚒🔥
We’re excited to introduce the newest addition to the Lincoln Fire Company fleet: our brand-new **Snozzle fire truck, officially designated Squrt 16!** And no, that’s not a typo. It’s *Squrt*, not Squirt! 😉
Six members of our apparatus committee made the trip to Appleton, Wisconsin, yesterday and arrived on the famous "Blue Floor" at Pierce Manufacturinthis morning for the truck’s final inspection.
Now comes the fun part! Our crew will be spending the next several days crawling around, climbing on, opening up, and inspecting just about every inch of this new rig. We’ll be putting it through its paces to make sure everything works the way it should before it makes the trip back to Ephrata.
If we find anything that needs attention, Pierce will make the necessary adjustments before delivery. After all, when you’re investing in a new fire truck, "close enough" just doesn’t cut it! 😎
