The new designations went into effect today and do not affect the way that we will respond to emergencies. The same number/type of apparatus will respond today as they did yesterday. They just have new names.

The changes at Lincoln are as follows:

Engine 16-1 is now Squrt 16. This signifies that the truck is outfitted with an elevated master stream device. At this time, Lincoln is the only fire company is Lancaster County with this designation.

Engine 16-2 is now Squad 16. This signifies a rescue/pumper.

Rescue 16 remains the same.

Squad 16-1 is now Utility 16-1.

Squad 16-2 is now Utility 16-2.

Squad 16-3 is now Utility 16-3.

Traffic 16 remains the same.

UTV 16 remains UTV 16. This is a new designation to Lincoln for a recently donated piece of equipment. UTV 16 is currently put of service until it is outfitted for responses.
