| We like equipment. We need equipment. However, that equipment costs money and often requires maintenance and upkeep. Today we will take a look at Rescue 16, or what some say is our "rolling toll box". The Rescue carries a variety of equipment that assists our crews in delivering rescue services to the community. So exactly what are some of these services. On Rescue 16 we carry equipment for vehicle rescues, building collapses, trench rescues, confined space rescues, water rescues (we even have an inflatable raft!), and tools that can help in some simpler missions like removing a childs foot that's stuck in a couch or a cat from a cars engine. We also have a variety of medical supplies to assist in providing patient care. Rescue 16 is equipped with a cascade system so that our firefighters can refill their SCBA bottles, which are our source of fresh air when we are inside fires. This truck is also where we carry most of our RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) supplies which help us rescue injured firefighters.
With the donations we receive from our fund drive, we are able to make sure all of this equipment is up-to-date and ready to go. Help us, help you. Please consider making a donation to our organization. Any amount that you are able to give goes a long way. We appreciate the support!
