The Lincoln Volunteers handled 25 incidents during a 5 hour period. There was also a large power outage in our area that lasted to around 2am including our station which was operating off of generator power for about 10 hours. Lincoln had 22 different Volunteers respond to these emergencies. Since July 1 Lincoln Fire has responded to 87 different incidents probably making it one of the busiest 5 week periods in our company history. Please use extreme safety today as cleanup will begin for many. Also would like to send a big thanks to the power companies who worked through the night to get the power back on.
