Deputy 16 arrived and met with staff finding a smoke condition in one of the rooms. Crews found a suit case that had been placed against a gas fire place that turned on automatically by its thermostat while residents were at breakfast. This serves a good reminder to the public why we respond to these types of calls and also shows why we treat all fire alarm calls as real until proven otherwise. In this case the alarm did it's job and alerted everyone quickly minimizing any damage.
