| He's 1752 years old (according to Google). However, it is our antique Reo Fire Truck! Santa will be riding in this piece of apparatus as he visits the residents of Ephrata.
In 1926, this truck cost a hefty $4,325. An engine today costs close to 1 million dollars. After serving the fire company for many years, the Reo was sold to a private owner who restored the truck. After transferring ownership the truck was sold back to the Lincoln Fire Company in 1989. While fully functional, the Reo is currently undergoing some mechanical repairs and will be on a trailer on Friday night! |
