No ice is safe ice!

While our crews are trained in water and ice rescue, don't risk it. Going out on frozen ponds and streams puts you in harms way. Low water temperatures will quickly overcome those trapped in water or ice, impairing their ability to rescue themselves or assist others.

Also, if someone falls through ice, call 911 immediately. Do not go on the ice and attempt to rescue the person yourself.
