These dedicated men and women are often seen blocking streets and keeping people back from emergency scenes, providing safety for both the public and our firefighters. In addition to responding to emergency calls, they are instrumental in providing traffic control at many of our community events like the Ephrata Fair Parade. Following their direction is important to the safety of first responders, bystanders, and expensive emergency apparatus, but failure to do so can result in traffic citations, costly fines, and points on the licenses of the drivers involved.

Many of our firefighters are cross trained as fire police to assist in this function as needed. Earlier this year, the Lincoln Fire Company placed a new Traffic unit into service. Luckily, we wereable to find a used vehicle that met our needs for at least half of what a similar, new vehicle would have cost us. Without your donations, this would not have been possible.
