Lincoln was extremely busy during the holiday weekend. On Christmas Eve, Rescue 1-6 was dispatched to assist West Earl Fire Co. on a reported accident with entrapment on Rt. 222 near Peach Rd. The Rescue was canceled prior to arrival.
Christmas Day calls began at 27 minutes after midnight with a non-injury accident on Rettew Mill Rd. near Lincoln Rd. The vehicle damaged an electric pole and forced fire police to close off the roadway.
At 8:05 am, Engine 1-6-2 and Rescue was dispatched to an accident with injuries at Springville and Schoeneck Rds. Personnel assisted with EMS and spill control
Shortly after arrival, Engine 1-6-1 was dispatched to the 800 block of Fairview Ave. for a cardiac arrest. The crew assisted with CPR as the patient was transported to Ephrata Hospital.
On Monday, December 26, Rescue 1-6 was dispatched for an odor investigation at an 8 unit town house at 12 Hoover Dr. in Clay Twp. Firefighters spent 1 ½ hour trying to identify the odor which was in all units. Multiple gas monitoring showed no signs of the odor being flammable.
While at this call, Traffic 1-6 was requested with Fire Police to a non-injury accident at S. Market St. and Rettew Mill Rd.
