At 27 minutes after midnight, Engine 1-6-1 and Rescue 1-6 assisted the Stevens Fire Co. at 45 S. Line Rd. for a working single family dwelling. Three people in one family lost their lives in this fire. The crew of Engine 1-6-1 supplied water to Truck 1-7 and the crew assisted with firefighting operations. The crew of Rescue 1-6 provided lighting and R.I.T.
A total of 15 firefighters responded to the scene, while a crew of 6 remained in station on standby with Engine 1-6-2.
The thoughts and prayers of the members of the Lincoln Fire Co. go out to the surviving family members and friends.
