CARBON MONOXIDE RESPONSE REMINDS ALL OF DANGER
In the aftermath of the Halloween Snow Storm, sections of the Lincoln Fire District were without power. At approximately 7:18 am, Lincoln along with EMS units from Rothsville and Ephrata, as well as Medic 12, were dispatched to the 300 block of Middle Creek Rd. in Ephrata Twp. A husband and wife were discovered unresponsive due to power being out at their home and the carbon monoxide fumes from an indoor generator. Firefighters ventilated the home and received readings in the 150 parts per million range.
The Lincoln Fire Co. reminds all citizens to make sure generators are placed outdoors or are vented to the outside when in use.
