Crew in Station for Irene

Tuesday, August 30, 2011 With Hurricane Irene hitting the Ephrata area, 15 volunteers stoodby in station during the 24 hours of the storm. Many members stayed at home with their families and were still available for calls. During Irene's visit, the company had 3 minor calls: a false automatic alarm at the Ephrata Rec Center, wires arcing in trees in the 200 block of N. Reading Rd. and an assist to Rothsville for a tree that fell on a mobile home in Warwick Twp.

Thank you to all the dedicated members for their assistance during this event.
